How To Fix A Conversion Problem

Conversion means you’re getting an appropriate  return-on-investment for all the time, effort, and money you put into your website, email marketing, pay-per-click advertising, or other online advertising.

It means you are competing effectively with your online competition.

It means you are getting more inquiries and making more sales.

Unfortunately, 9 out of 10 people reading this don’t track or measure their conversion. Yikes!

So what do you do if you have a conversion problem? What if the brides and grooms who visit your website are NOT making inquiries? Here are a few things to consider:

Website Design

It’s probably time to have a real Internet marketing professional, not a website designer, look at your website design. You may like your website, brides may even tell you they liked your website, but if you have a conversion issue there is a 90% chance you have problems with the design of your website.

Marketing Copy

The other 10% of the problem is probably going to fall into the MARCOM category. When your marketing message is weak brides just click their mouse button a few times and leave your website looking for something else. Do you have an engaging message? Would I find a strong, bold, unique value proposition on your home page? How fresh are the pictures and testimonials at your website?

“Oh Yes” Moment

Everything else aside for a second, your website needs to create what I call an “Oh Yes!” moment. It’s the moment after your home page loads (and it better load in less than 5 seconds) when a bride says “Oh, yes… this is the site I’ve been looking for.”

Not All Traffic Is Good

Surprisingly, most people I talk to don’t think about this very carefully. Keep in mind that NOT all traffic is good quality traffic. For example, traffic from “free link” websites and free link directories typically converts very poorly. I’m not making this up, I’m telling you after reviewing hundreds and hundreds of Google Analytics reports and seeing bounce rates on that type of traffic above 80% – in virtually every case. The quality of your traffic directly impacts conversion.

If you’re not happy with the results you’re getting from your current website, or the results you’re getting from your Internet marketing, I can help. My clients read like a Who’s Who list of top ranked sites at Google and their websites turn the brides who visit into inquiries, phone calls, and sales. If you want to use the Internet more effectively and BOOK MORE WEDDINGS, drop me a line using the inquiry form below or call me at (866) 652-7791 x701.

I’ll follow-up promptly and look forward to the opportunity to speak with you.
